What’s involved?

As part of your Auto Enrolment responsibilities you have to assess the status of your workers, notify staff and process those who opt out. Once your Auto Enrolment has started, you have to calculate pension contributions and make sure you are fully compliant with the regulations every time you run your payroll.  And you have to keep records for six years in most cases. On top of that, there is the cost of the actual contributions you need to make. This can be a lot of hassle for employers with less than 50 staff.
